Heron's Hide
Heron's Hide is a stunning lake-side, 4 bedroom holiday house that sleeps up to 10 people on Lower Mill Estate, part of the Cotswolds Lakes.It has spectacular views of Spinney Lake from many of the rooms plus the fantastic roof terrace.The detached house comes with free access to the onsite spa which has 3 swimming pools (one outdoor, one indoor, one reed), a gym, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms & 3 tennis courts. It is a short walk from both the spa and Balihoo restaurant.
On the ground floor there is a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area with wood burning stove, flat screen tv & fabulous lake views. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, oven microwave, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks and a quooker tap. There is also a downstairs loo, utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer and snug with sofa, tv & desk.
The large glass patio doors open from the living area to a terrace with dining table for 10, bbq & lawn that leads to a quiet garden area, the lake & private jetty from which you can canoe & paddle board on both Spinney and Minety lakes. Either bring your own canoes and paddleboards or hire them from the onsite activity hub.
The four bedrooms are all on the first floor. The master bedroom had glorious views over Spinney Lake with a balcony and full length glass windows. It has a king size double bed and en suite shower room. A second king size double bedroom has an en suite shower room and balcony that overlooks the front of the house. Both balconies have bistro style tables and chairs so you can sit with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and enjoy the view. There is also a twin bedded room and a bunk bedroom that sleeps 4 which are both served by a family bathroom with bath & separate shower.
There is a huge roof terrace reached by spiral staircase from either the ground or first floors. This has plenty of seating and is the perfect place to relax & enjoy the views of the lake and take in the surrounding nature reserve.
There is private parking for 3 cars immediately outside the house.
A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome at Heron's Hide and are charged at £30 per dog per stay. We ask that they are kept downstairs and off the furniture.
Please note that Lower Mill Estate does not accept single sex booking at the properties so no stag or hen parties. Also, they do not allow contractors to stay at the estate who are working in the area.
